BA International Management
You’ve recognised that modern businesses are increasingly connected across borders and that they need to act within an intercultural framework? And you’re interested in a global work environment with an international focus? Then the Bachelor’s in International Management will prepare you for the demands you’ll need to meet in international companies with an education in psychology, sociology, intercultural studies and languages. Over six semesters, which include a semester abroad, the practice-oriented modules will open the door for you to excellent career options and salary prospects. You can choose between full-time studies, the dual work–study model, or distance learning (in German). The programme’s integrated international alignment is topped off by the international campus in Berlin, the chance to learn additional foreign languages and your semester abroad. You can spend your semester abroad at one of our partner universities, for example in New York, or you can study in the Erasmus+ Programme. The costs are included in your monthly tuition fees.
The goal of the programme is to offer you direct career access to international companies or the possibility to continue your academic studies with a master’s degree. To this end, we start off by equipping you with business and economics knowledge embedded in the international context. As the programme continues, you can select areas of focus that match your interests and strengths, so that you are optimally prepared for launching your career. The scope of future activities that graduates are prepared for include both operational and strategic management. Entry-level management positions cover all sectors of international business, such as international project management, human resources, international customer relations, sales or marketing. Small and medium-sized enterprises focused on exports as well as business consulting and auditing firms are also suitable employers for graduates of management programmes with an international focus.

Study the way you want!
Being flexible isn’t just important for a successful career; it’s also a guiding principle at the hwtk. When you study at our University, you can organise your studies to suit your needs. Decide what’s best for you: classic full-time studies, integrated theory and practice in the dual work–study model or distance learning that is independent of time and place.
Should your circumstances change and you want to switch to another model for your studies, this is possible at the end of a semester.
